Their work is all about climate protection, as energy efficiency is a top priority in this field. With 85 percent of current trainees, the electronics technician specializing in energy and building technology is by far the most popular electrical trade apprenticeship.

Description
Device, IT and office system technology, transmission, reception and broadband technology, security and hazard detection and telecommunications technology – information electronics technicians are responsible for planning and project management as well as the installation, commissioning and maintenance of telecommunications and multimedia systems and security technology. In this respect, topics such as data security and the protection of smart buildings against cyber attacks also fall within their area of responsibility. As information electronics technicians often work in direct customer contact, in support and consulting, a high level of service orientation is required.
